Retro House, Five Dock

This new house is built on a tight corner block in Five Dock, overlooking Canada Bay. The house was designed for a family with three young boys.

The design of the house takes into account the unique corner position and maximises the access to both views and northern aspect by stretching along the southern boundary – rather than occupy the middle of the block.

The living area and kitchen are located on the upper storey of the house, opening onto a large, covered outdoor entertaining area – which capitalise on the fantastic 270 degree views of surrounding parkland.

Working closely with the client to design joinery and select the interior finishes has resulted in a seamless project from outside to inside that functions perfectly for the site and for the inhabitants.
