Set high on a steep, east-facing site overlooking Pittwater, this house was carefully positioned to maximise views, privacy and connection to the surrounding bushland. Elevated on concrete piles with sculptural steel supports, the lightweight structure sits lightly amongst the trees, minimising disturbance to the site and existing vegetation.
A simple linear plan extends onto timber decks framed by curved steel beams, creating generous indoor–outdoor living spaces for year-round use. Passive design principles, including natural cross-ventilation, solar shading and abundant daylight, enhance comfort and sustainability. Conceived as a contemporary treehouse, the home offers a secluded retreat immersed in its natural setting.
