Manly View

Sitting high on a hill facing north, this home has spectacular views of the Sydney coastline to Manly and beyond. This renovation transformed a 15 year family home without relocating, responding to site and climate through a collaborative client–architect–builder process. New steel frames at front and rear allowed a higher roof and expanded living volume, bringing daylight, cross ventilation, extended verandah and privacy screens to protect against overlooking.
Internally the kitchen, bathrooms, entry and stairwell were fully redesigned and finished in robust coastal materials—stained oak floors, dark timber joinery and bronze mirror—bringing warmth and a stronger connection to landscape and sky.
