The position of the original house on the site meant that only limited accommodation could be added behind which lead to the addition of a new level buried into the front lawn with an expansive ‘green roof’ above. This approach allowed the original home to remain centre-stage in a garden setting and for the new living areas and pool to share the spectacular views and position.

The rear of the house opens up to a courtyard that receives north sun and provides a sheltered and private outdoor dining area adjacent to the original part of the home.
