Beach Sanctuary – Mona Vale

Completed in 2013, this coastal retreat overlooks the Pacific Ocean and was designed as a low-maintenance holiday home for extended family and friends.

Two pavilions, connected by a covered walkway and courtyard gardens, provide a flexible arrangement that accommodates both communal gatherings and private retreat. Living spaces open to generous covered decks on either side, capturing ocean views and encouraging year-round indoor–outdoor living. A sheltered courtyard offers protection from prevailing sea winds and creates a quiet place for relaxation.

Durable materials, including aluminium, concrete block, stained plywood and recycled timber, respond to the harsh coastal environment while reflecting the colours and textures of the surrounding landscape.
